My Story
Before hiring a coach, you should know their story.
I’m Alessio Del Fiacco. Born and raised in Pescara, Italy. Now living in the Netherlands.
Growing up, I was painfully shy, anxious, lazy. Talking to people freaked me out. My stomach hurt every morning before school. The world felt scary and empty—so I escaped into videogames, social media, Netflix, and porn. It was: bellyache, school, bellyache, escape—repeat.
I neglected my body, my mind, and my life.
Then, at age 18, everything changed.
One summer, we got the news: my mother had stage IV ovarian cancer. I still remember my dad’s face—shaken, unable to hide the sorrow. That moment shattered the illusion of immortality we all live with when we are young. Death became real. Life became urgent.
That was my wake-up call.
Health, time, and meaningful relationships became my compass. I quit all my modern addictions and made personal growth my full-time job.
In my gap year, I traveled solo around Europe. I exercised, faced social fears, pushed through discomfort.
Eventually, I moved abroad to the Netherlands—no one knew me, so I left the old me behind.
Every awkward moment became growth.
Every setback became a lesson.
Discomfort became my gym.
I built a good life. But something was still missing.
I did feel much happier but, after a while, I started noticing that I wasn't feeling as fulfilled as I expected. I was growing growing growing, but for what? Just for the sake of growing. I had no idea what to do with my life. One day I "locked in" and I started waking up an hour earlier every day to reflect. One question saved 10 years of my life:
“What is it that I cannot not do?”
The answer: help people.
After 2 months, 60 hours of reflection, I realized that I wanted to help people grow, not by fixing them or telling them what to do, but by asking the right questions. Helping them see more possibilities, more beauty, more strength in themselves.
I later discovered that this had a name: coaching.
Since then, I’ve gone all in.
I trained as a certified coach with MOE Foundation (recognized by the Association for Coaching), studied Positive Psychology, became trauma-informed, worked with mentors, and founded ADF Coaching.
To date, I’ve helped over 50 people step into a better version of themselves—and a more fulfilling life. And this is just the beginning.
